Sam Seaman

Sam Seaman has been drawing and painting since he grabbed hold of his first crayon as a child. His formal art education began at Walthamstow College of Art, London, in 1965, where he was taught by some of the masters who also taught the famous British painter, David Hockney. In 1977 he went on the adventure of living and working in Sudan, Africa, and afterwards arrived in Mexico in 1978.  He subsequently established the international cooperative ‘The Mexican Club of Art’ which later became the MCA Gallery, the first gallery in the Colonia Roma since the great earthquake of 1985. In 1991 he was invited by the Mexican government to exhibit in the former home of Diego Rivera, now a National Museum in the City of Guanajuato. He now lives and paints in San Miguel de Allende, accompanied by friends and his youngest daughter.
